99,273: so close, yet still so far away
Look: I'm almost positive that FunAdvice has never claimed it was "perfect". And over the last few weeks, I've taken heat from members for various things: deleting a child asking about how to get a boyfriend (at the tender age of 69 years old...) deleting people for promoting their own site (they KNOW that shit is against the rules) disabling a member for having two accounts (too many details are the same for it to be random coincidence).
In the future, we'll probably have as many problems. Humans, living in an imperfect human world, all get to experience the joy of the human condition: making do with impartial biased data, seen through the lens of their own prejudice.
When I say, we'll try to do better, well, I hope you see that we mean it. There hasn't been a case (yet) where a member brought me an issue that I wasn't willing to negotiate on...provided it didn't violate the spirit of what we're trying to do, or our stated Terms of Use, which we all agree to (including me) to participate on the site.
All that said, 99.273K visitors on Monday. Wow. Yet another record..meanwhile, in lala land, a bunch of tech blogs I checked this morning are on fire (not in a good way) losing traffic, still ignoring our story...and only focusing on those businesses, like them, that are "on fire" losing money hand over fist and ignoring the whole concept of "business".
:) How was your holiday weekend?
